The station of Heath Point, on Anticosti Island, opened on July 21, 1904 and was operated by the Canadian Marconi Company.

The station was located at the extremity of Anticosti Island, at the opposite side of the only village on the island, Port Meunier, formerly called Ellis Point and at six miles from East Cape.

The station was the relaying station for Fame Point, Sydney, Pictou, Cape Bear, Grindstone (Cap aux Meules), Cape Ray, Point Riche, Harrington Harbour and for all the ships in the St. Lawrence gulf.

In 1904, the first call sign was HP; it was changed to MHP in 1912 and then to VCI.

Due to improvements in wireless apparatus, Heath Point became redundant and closed down permanently in 1921.
